Center for Artificial Low Dimensional Electronic Systems

The Scattering Group led by Prof. B. J. Kim at the Center for Artificial Low Dimensional Electronic Systems (CALDES), Institute for Basic Science (IBS) in Pohang, Korea invites applications for a non-tenure track research fellow in the research field of x-ray and neutron scattering studies of correlated electron systems. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the construction and commissioning of the resonant inelastic x-ray scattering beamline at the Pohang Light Source and perform inelastic x-ray and neutron scattering studies using user facilities elsewhere. The ideal candidate must have strong background in synchrotron techniques and a strong track record of peer-reviewed publications. The CALDES, led by Prof. Han Woong Yeom, is a collaborative research center belonging to IBS, a newly established national research institute to lead the top notch basic science research of Korea.

■ Appointment period

The appointment is a full time non- tenure track contract.

Those in non-tenure track research positions may renew their employment contract once

after the initial contract and the total contract period shall not exceed five years. The initial contract

starts from August 16th, 2018.
